Police: Black Toyota Belongs to Hit and Run Victim's Husband

Police say the black Toyota Camry that was involved in the second collision on Center Street belonged to the victim's husband.

Investigators have determined the identity of the woman killed in a hit-and-run accident that occurred just after midnight in the 600 block of Center Street, Herndon Police reported.

Police said they aren’t able to release the woman’s identity to the public until next-of-kin are notified.

Investigators also have determined that the black Toyota Camry involved in a second collision, just down the street from the fatal hit and run, belongs to the victim’s husband.

The husband has not been located, however three young children were found in the woman’s residence. They are in good health and have been turned over to Child Protective Services.

Police are continuing to ask that anyone with information related to the incident contact the Herndon Police Department at 703-435-6846.

Patch will continue to provide updates on this story as they become available.
