Photos: Chestnut Grove Cemetery Avenue of Flags
There were 53 casket flags flown at Chestnut Grove for the Veterans Day Avenue of Flags.
The Avenue of Flags was flying from sunup to sundown on Sunday, as part of the American Legion Post 184's tribute to honor veterans.
The American Legion Wayne M. Kidwell Post 184, along with volunteers from Herndon High School, assemble the Avenue of Flags each year as a tribute to veterans. This year there were 53 casket flags flown.
The display is flown each Veterans Day and Memorial Day.
