It's Time To Vote For Readers' Choice

Cast your ballot for the best in Fairfax County and Herndon.

Patch asked; you answered. Now it is time to vote.

Several weeks ago, we asked for nominations for our Readers Choice Poll in 25 different categories. You nominated your favorite places to get a hot fudge sundae, where to take the kids, and best yoga studio, among others.

Click on the links below to vote on the finalists and give them a shot at winning our Readers Choice Award.

The polls open July 23 at 12:01 a.m. and end on Aug. 17. Winners will be announced Aug. 24.

Because this is a contest, you’ll need to create a Patch login to nominate and vote.

Some of the categories are specific to Herndon; some are open to anywhere in Fairfax County that you like to eat, visit and shop.

Sign up for the Herndon Patch Newsletter so you can keep track of the winners when results come in. Have fun and thanks in advance for participating.

This is not a vote for any of the above but a suggestion.
Take a drive along Alabama St and enjoy the flowering crepe myrtles.
It's beautiful!

Thank you for this comment, Ruth! We have many of these trees surrounding my block and I love them because they're pretty and smell so sweet, but haven't been able to figure out what they are. You've just answered my question! And yes—the ones along Alabama are bright pink and lovely. The ones on my block are white, but we have a couple on the corners that are pink. Gorgeous.
