I-66 at I-495 Lanes Closed This Weekend

Motorists may want to consider avoiding I-66 west at I-495 this weekend as construction crews will be closing lanes and diverting traffic.
The Virginia Department of Transportation plans to block off multiple I-66W lanes in phases starting at 9 p.m. Friday. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday.
Here's what you need to know:
- One lane on I-495 north and south to I-66 west will be closed all weekend.
- The entire exit ramp leading from I-495 south to I-66 west will be closed Sunday at 9:30 p.m. Traffic will have to continue south to the Little River Turnpike east exit and follow signs to I-495 north to get on I-66 west.
