Herndon Police Report - Feb. 7-13

In this week's police report, it was reported that someone attempted to shoplift hair accessories.

Town of Herndon Police reported the following incidents from Feb. 7-13, 2011:

BRUIN DISTRICT
• The victim returned to their residence to find their furniture had been damaged by an acquaintance at 2:20 a.m. on Feb. 12 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue.
• Lewis Hembry, 50, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 6:02 p.m. on Feb. 7 in the 600 block of Austin Lane.
• Marty Stevenson, 36, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 6:59 p.m. on Feb. 9 in the 600 block of Spring Street.
• A noise complaint was reported at 7:15 p.m. on Feb. 10 in the 500 block of Herndon Woods Court.
• A noise complaint was reported at 1:32 a.m. on Feb. 12 in the 400 block of Spruce Court.
• The victim reported receiving harassing phone calls from an acquaintance at 12:08 a.m. on Feb. 13 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue.

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 9:15 p.m. on Feb. 11 in the 1300 block of Bayshire Lane.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 12:48 a.m. on Feb. 13 near the intersection of Herndon Parkway and Dulles Place.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 1:40 a.m. on Feb. 13 in the 1100 block of Casper Drive.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 1:56 p.m. on Feb. 12 in the 800 block of Ferndale Avenue.
• Raphael Bennett, 22, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged disorderly conduct and on an outstanding warrant out of Loudoun County at 2:03 a.m. on Feb. 13 in the 1200 block of Sterling Road.

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an unknown subject who fled the scene at 5:49 p.m. on Feb. 11 in the 200 block of Elden Street.
• A subject left a hotel without paying their bill in full at 3:43 p.m. on Feb. 13 in the 400 block of Herndon Parkway.
• Jeffrey Droz, 46, and Gregory Kniemeyer, 43, both of no fixed address, were arrested for alleged drunk in public and unlawfully entering a vehicle at 11:50 p.m. on Feb. 10 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Jeong Kim, 54, of Centreville, was issued a summons for allegedly not having a town tax stamp on cigarettes sold at his business at 1:09 p.m. on Feb. 7 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A subject reported a false bomb threat at a business at 4:59 p.m. on Feb. 10 in the 500 block of Huntmar Park Drive.

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• Moeid Mohammad, 20, of Herndon, was issued a summons for alleged underage possession of alcohol at 10:07 p.m. on Feb. 12 in the 700 block of Elden Street.
• A noise complaint was reported at 11:21 p.m. on Feb. 12 in the 900 block of Branch Drive.

CENTER DISTRICT
• The victim reported being robbed by two unknown subjects who fled the scene at 12:35 a.m. on Feb. 7 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported being assaulted by acquaintances at 2:06 a.m. on Feb. 13 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 13 in the 1000 block of Lexus Way.
• A subject attempted to steal hair accessories from a business at 5:57 p.m. on Feb. 10 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• Vicdorio Castaneda Escobar, 29, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged possession of marijuana and possession of stolen goods at 7:19 p.m. on Feb. 10 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• Brandon Dennis, 21, of Reston, was issued a summons for alleged possession of marijuana at 3:16 p.m. on Feb. 11 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• Jose Rivera Quintanilla, 33, of no fixed address, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 3:11 p.m. on Feb. 9 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• Jose Aguilar Rodriguez, 32, of no fixed address, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 3:11 p.m. on Feb. 13 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported being harassed by an acquaintance at 11:46 p.m. on Feb. 8 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A subject was reportedly attempting to cash a fraudulent check at a business at 2:58 p.m. on Feb. 8 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• Francisco Amaya Portillo, 23, of Herndon, was arrested for allegedly driving without a license at 12:02 p.m. on Feb. 9 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported receiving harassing phone calls from an acquaintance at 4:43 p.m.m on Feb. 12 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• Franklin Guevara Ayala, 20, of Sterling, was arrested for allegedly driving without a license at 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 11 in the 900 block of Alabama Drive.

OTHER INCIDENTS
• Town of Herndon Police reported three incidents of speeding, three incidents of no operators license, two incidents of driving while on a suspended or revoked license, and 47 incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
