Herndon Police Arrest Woman in Connection with Robbery, Bomb Threat

West Virginia woman arrested and charged with robbery and threat to bomb.

Ana Ruth Melendez Rodriguez, 29, of Harpers Ferry, W.Va. was arrested Friday and charged with robbery and threat to bomb, according to the Herndon Police Department.

Herndon Police were called to a check cashing store, Cambio de Cheque, at about 11 a.m. on Thursday after a woman had walked into the business and handed the teller a note that she wanted money and had placed bombs on the premises.

The woman left without any money and was gone before police arrived, though packages were found that could have been the ones she described. Herndon Police evacuated the building and called the Fairfax County Bomb Squad to come help investigate.

Rodriguez has been taken into custody and brought to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where she is being held without bond.

The Herndon Police have an excellent track record of resolving serious crimes in short order. Take a look at how fast they caught that man attacking women in Town while posing as a police officer.

That being said, I have my doubts that Ms. Rodriguez is a master criminal whose execution of this crime left no trail to follow.
