Three Herndon Organizations Receive Giving Circle of HOPE Grants

The Giving Circle of HOPE is awarded grants for $5,000 to Herndon-Reston FISH, Grace Ministries and the Jeanie Schmidt Free Clinic, among other nonprofits.

The Giving Circle of HOPE will honor three Herndon organizations this year with grants from its eighth annual grant program.

Each year the Giving Circle of Hope awards 10 grants to organizations throughout Northern Virginia. Herndon-Reston FISH, Grace Ministries and the Jeanie Schmidt Free Clinic are among this year’s organizations to receive grants. Each of the nonprofit organizations will receive $5,000.

The Giving Circle of HOPE has more than 100 members and is based in Reston. The organization was founded in 2004 to promote volunteerism and effective philanthropy. The Giving Circle of HOPE has awarded more than $400,000 to organizations throughout Northern Virginia through its grant program.

This year’s grant recipients are: Herndon-Reston FISH, Grace Ministries, the Jeanie Schmidt Free Clinic, Alternative House, Empowered Women International, Just Neighbors, Manassas Midwifery, PROSPERA Initiatives, Stop Child Abuse Now and The Brain Foundation.

The award winners will be recognized on Friday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m. at a reception at Midtown in Reston Town Center. The community is invited to attend the event. Each organization that received a grant will have a display table on hand.
